Families and parties of all sizes and ages are crowded into their Olympic-sized pool area. This is one of the region’s most well-liked swim clubs because of the swimming lessons and competitions that keep kids busy. Meals and drinks are close by if there is an outside snack bar.
Their clay tennis courts draw players of all skill levels, and qualified professionals provide lessons to help them become better. While younger players pick up the fundamentals of the sport, TRCC tennis features some of the region’s most outstanding high school and college athletes. Course Layout
The golf course of the Toms River Country Club is located beside the river. From the longest tees, this difficult 9-hole course measures 6,136 yards and has a par of 71. The system is played as an 18-hole layout since the front and back 9 have separate tee boxes.
Bent grass gives the course a slope rating of 129 and a grade of 70.5. For its size, the system is among the best in the State. Fairways and greens have a long history of being in excellent shape.
Further demonstrating the outstanding standards the course maintains, the New Jersey Golf Course Superintendents’ Association decided to honor the Club by hosting their annual trip to Toms River for the last 15 years.
The Par 3, 6th hole, which serves as the club’s flagship golf hole, perfectly captures the splendor of the golf course. The Par 3 hole, which is 170-yards long, would not seem to be a challenge at first appearance. But when you set your ball down on the tee and turn to face the island green that is tucked away along Toms River as the wind is whirling (at times, a 2-3 club wind), you understand that precision is crucial on this course.
Golf Packages
Golf training at TRCC is based on the principle that you should enjoy learning the sport. This is why they provide a range of programs that are educational, cost-effective, and above all, entertaining.
Programs may be acquired individually or in sets as required. They also provide classes in chunks of 30, 45, and one hour.
Members 14 and under are eligible for our Junior programs. Lessons may be delivered in sets, groups, and throughout a range of times.
The playing instruction program is one of our most well-liked offerings. On the course, one of our experts assists you with the finer details of your technique, guiding you through tough lays, environmental factors, sand traps, etc.
Group classes are also well-liked and relatively affordable. You may create your group or have one made by their experts.
Golf Instruction
Golfers of all skill levels may take lessons at the TRCC. There are clinics, group classes, and one-on-one lessons available for instruction. The club offers a highly successful women’s program that includes instruction and group play and a strong kids program.
Their chief golf professional is John Kondash. He is an excellent golfer who loves the game, making playing pleasurable for newcomers and seasoned players trying to lower their handicaps. John was the first junior golfer to win the state championship as a sophomore at Holy Cross High School, and he went on to win it again as a junior and senior. John attended Rider University after graduation and earned a business management and leadership degree there. John participated in golf competitions while attending Rider and announced his pro status as soon as he graduated.
He began working in golf management in 2008, and in 2013 he earned his PGA Class A card. John joins TRCC from Greenbriar Oceanaire Golf & Country Club in Waretown, New Jersey, where he served as the second assistant professional at Cranbury Golf Club and the first assistant professional at Eagle Ridge Golf Club.
John brings us a wealth of experience in managing a pro shop. He has successfully handled hundreds of tournaments, trips, and events throughout his career, and we believe that he will infuse our TRCC events with new life and professionalism. John has run juvenile camps, clinics, and men’s and women’s leagues. John takes great delight in watching his students’ games become better, and their handicaps come down. He likes instructing golfers of all skill levels and ages.
Pool Description
The Olympic-sized pool at our club is one of its most well-liked amenities. The pool alone attracts many members since it provides families with a safe, watched, healthy environment for their kids.
Their pool program is a favorite with summertime beachgoers, especially recently with worries about the cleanliness of the bay and ocean waters mounting.
