View tens of thousands of rare, gorgeous, and strange insects from across the globe. On their touch-screen PCs, they play games about bugs. Crawl through our mud tube as if you were a termite. Visit their observation hive in safety and see our active bees. Or observe any of their many other live insects. Of course, if you don’t attend a touch presentation, your trip isn’t complete! Touch presentations happen every day. Before you depart, handle a millipede, a hissing cockroach, and a live tarantula. Insectropolis offers more than a dozen display spaces likely to inform and amuse everyone visiting, whether they are bug enthusiasts or simply interested.

From Pre-School to High School
We like leading field excursions for students! It enables us to spread their understanding of and excitement for these fascinating yet misunderstood creatures. They want to make your field trip successful—simple, well-planned, instructive, enjoyable, and memorable. From preschool to senior citizen bus tours, special needs groups, to teachers looking to enhance their teachings, they host all age groups and interest levels. They adapt their talks and presentations to the audience. their programs provide a broad introduction to arthropods and insects and complement the curricula in classrooms. All our displays are inside and wheelchair accessible, and they are on one level. For organizations who plan a program, reduced pricing is offered.
Scouts
During regular business hours, scouts may create a personalized curriculum that meets their unique requirements. Their team will design the most enjoyable and educational experience for your next gathering, whether it be a lecture, a guided tour, or an outreach event.
CAMPS
The flow of your visit would be as follows: Each of the roughly 30 groups would have its tour leader (ideally, that will coincide with each class or age group). At the same time, each group will begin at a separate location inside the museum. A guide will cooperate with your team to keep the group together, identify points of interest, respond to inquiries, and provide campers the opportunity to handle live bugs as they go. On average tour lasts an hour. Since we do not have a dining space, parties may use the toilet and gift shop after time before leaving the museum to have lunch in a nearby park, on the bus trip, or at your facility.
Bugs on the Go – Outreach Program
Insectropolis can provide a selection of live insects and unusual pinned specimens to your location or event. Their exhibits will inspire visitors to learn about and appreciate life’s variety. Through engaging presentations, participants learn about these sometimes misunderstood little creatures’ anatomy, traits, and fundamental requirements. The curriculum is readily adaptable to any age group and may be utilized independently of classroom instruction or in combination.

To master the fundamentals of bugs, you should begin your research at Bug University.
Learn the classification and naming scheme used by scientists to categorize all living things (Taxonomy). Know what traits all insects have in common. Lift the Phylum Arthropoda flaps and turn the Metamorphosis wheels. Before you graduate, stop by the class pets and learn about the many orders of Class Insecta.

Play a game on one of our touch-screen PCs to put your knowledge to the test and learn fascinating information. Watch the aquatic bug tank; you could see the diving beetle eating a little fish there!
